| Devotchka On Curse Your Little Heart, Devotchka chose to cover songs that fit their style and abilities very well, but their covers don't seem to match up to their own material. The centerpiece of the album, a cover of Siouxie and the Banshees' "Last Beat of My Heart" is a perfect Devotchka experience, building up triumphantly as the vocals hit emotional heights achieved by so few. The album is fun, but nowhere near as special as the last Devotchka album. standout track: "Last Beat of my Heart" |
