I’ve decided to list 25 albums that will get shafted/overlooked on this 2009′s Best Albums of the Year Lists.

Check back each day for a new addition to the list. (no particular order)

24. Swan Lake – Enemy Mine

mp3: Swan Lake – “Peace”

Featuring the incredible talents of three of rock’s best musical minds and lyricists, Swan Lake’s sophomore record is even better than the first. Critiques of the frist one often pointed at it not sounding collaborative enough, and though each member has his time to shine on Enemy Mine, it feels more like a group effort. The highlights very frequently come from Carey Mercer (Frog Eyes) whose voice often provokes a powerful demented David Bowie, most notably on standouts “Peace” and “Spanish Gold, 2044.”

Maybe it’s just too complicated and odd, but with a couple higher profile indie musicians it’s hard to believe Enemy Mine hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves.
